On Thursday, March 7, Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast is organizing an advocacy day at the State Capitol in Austin. It’s an opportunity for Texas doctors and supporters to stand up for women and let our lawmakers know that reproductive health care is critical to the well-being of Texas women and their families.
As physicians, we have seen that politicians are working hard to prevent women from accessing the critical care they need when they need it most. State lawmakers have been busy excluding Planned Parenthood from the Texas Women’s Health Program and implementing burdensome and unnecessary restrictions on women’s health care. Enough is enough.
Now, more than ever, Texas women need us to stand up and make our voices heard in Austin. We know that access to contraception and basic health screenings are vital to help keep women healthy. Please join advocates from Planned Parenthood for a day of advocacy to ensure that all women in Texas have access to the entire range of safe and legal reproductive health care.
If you are interested in attending the advocacy day, please RSVP to Mimi Spalding at firstname.lastname@example.org.
