Title X is under attack. The Trump Administration released a policy called the “gag rule,” that would force health care providers to knowingly withhold important information for patients seeking reproductive health care from Title X funded family planning clinics, including Planned Parenthood clinics and independent providers.
The Title X program exists to help ensure that every person — regardless of where they live, how much money they make, their background, or whether or not they have health insurance — has access to basic, preventive reproductive health care, including birth control, cancer screenings, STI testing and treatment, and annual exams. 1.) Call your representatives to educate them about the potential harm of implementing these new regulations and asking them to publicly oppose them. A sample script is included.
2.) Send a message to HHS Secretary Alex Azar. We’ve also included a sample letter that you can customize.
3.) Attend an event: Make your voice heard by joining a rally. Events are planned across the country to show support for Planned Parenthood and their provision of reproductive health care.
