The Kenneth J. Ryan, MD, Memorial Program honors the legacy of Dr. Kenneth J. Ryan. An outstanding scientist, inspirational teacher, and forceful advocate, Dr. Kenneth J. Ryan changed the face of modern obstetrics and gynecology as well as reproductive health and rights. The program honors his pioneering legacy and supports continuing work with educational, research, and advocacy programs that reflect his undaunted commitment to improving women’s reproductive health and rights.
From 2004 to 2010, Physicians presented the Kenneth J. Ryan, MD, Physician Leadership Award to doctors who, like Dr. Ryan, have been longstanding pioneers in improving reproductive health and rights through research, teaching, and advocacy. Since 2014, Physicians has honored the beloved memory and professional contribution of Dr. Ryan by sponsoring the registration and travel costs for an obstetrician/gynecologist early in their career to attend the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Annual Clinical Meeting.
