Something strange started happening in the summer of 2013: my period completely took over my life. As in, it never ended. I had my period every day for over six months! I was worried because information available online told me this could be a serious issue, and I was also very uncomfortable all of the time. I was lucky enough to have health care that included OB/GYN and birth control services. I went to my doctor and asked about my concerns, and she told me there was nothing to worry about yet. I got an IUD, and the problem stopped! I feel much better now.
