A young women presented to our emergency department hemorrhaging with early pregnancy. Upon exam, I found misoprostol, an abortion inducing drug, in her vagina. She admitted that she had ordered misoprostol online, as she was desperate to end the pregnancy. She tried to go to a Planned Parenthood but she returned home because of the harassment from the protestors. We were able to help her complete her abortion and stabilize her, and she did well.
