My hope for the future as we continue facing the obstacles from the Trump administration and other legislators is that I survive my heart surgery and keep fighting telling my story.

I hate to have to rehash one of the most painful times of my life just to keep my rights, and the rights of countless others.

If my story changes a tide of pure thoughtlessness, lack of compassion, and empathy, it is worth it.
