"We must protect and improve this access for all Americans."

Story No. 585: Irene from California

My story is very similar to most of my friends growing up. I’m 53 years old, and grew up in the late 1970s and early 1980s. When I became sexually active, I relied on my local Planned Parenthood not only for birth control, but all my health care.

It was crucial to my health and well-being to have access to this type of health care, and was even more crucial for friends who had neither money nor home. Women’s (and men’s) health depends on having equal access to reproductive health care, and with the nomination of Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, this right and this access will be extremely endangered.

We must protect and improve this access for all Americans.
