HONOREES & SPECIAL GUESTS

Dr. Caitlin Bernard
2026 Tiller Advocacy Award Recipient
Dr. Caitlin Bernard is a Complex Family Planning fellowship–trained obstetrician-gynecologist and Associate Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Indiana University School of Medicine. She provides full-spectrum reproductive health care, including contraception, pregnancy care, miscarriage management, and abortion services, in one of the most restrictive abortion environments in the country. Dr. Bernard also serves as Co-Chair for Legislative Advocacy for the Indiana Section of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and leads a statewide contraceptive access initiative.
Following the overturning of Roe v. Wade, Dr. Bernard gained national attention for speaking publicly about the real-world consequences of abortion bans, including their impact on children who become pregnant as a result of rape. Her advocacy sparked intense political backlash and made her a visible target of harassment and persecution faced by abortion providers in post-Roe America. Despite this, Dr. Bernard remains a leading voice for abortion access while continuing to provide essential care to patients across the Midwest.
Dr. Bernard is a member of the PRH Leadership Training Academy Class of 2017.

Dr. Sarah Prager
2026 Rashbaum Leadership Award Recipient
Dr. Sarah Prager is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Complex Family Planning at the University of Washington School of Medicine and an Adjunct Professor in the UW School of Public Health. She serves as Division Chief of Complex Family Planning and Associate Program Director of the CFP Fellowship and provides full-spectrum reproductive health care, including abortion services. Dr. Prager has worked since 2006 to expand abortion access at the University of Washington and throughout the state and is a cofounder of TEAMM (Training, Education, and Advocacy in Miscarriage Management), an initiative focused on improving early pregnancy loss care in outpatient and emergency settings.
Dr. Prager has held national leadership roles with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists since 2001 and is currently Co-Chair of the Abortion Access and Training Work Group and Treasurer of ACOG District VIII. She is deeply committed to global family planning and helped establish the only family planning fellowship in Africa at St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Dr. Prager is a member of the PRH Leadership Training Academy Class of 2003.
