Jasmine Chan (MD) is a Fellow in our Leadership Training Academy Class of 2026 and specializes in Family Medicine. She shared the following reflections on her work, advocacy, and what brings her joy.
What are your clinical or research interests?
Reproductive Justice and Immigration Justice.
What current policy issue motivates you to be an advocate?
Expanding attacks on bodily autonomy, growing anti-immigrant policies and the unlawful abductions of our community members, and the ongoing US government-supported genocide in Palestine.
What local justice-centered organization do you wish we knew about?
Jane’s Due Process, a Texas-based abortion fund that protects and fights for Texas teens’ access to reproductive healthcare.
What is bringing you joy these days?
My community, sunshine, caffeine, and my cats.
