Neha Ali
Neha Ali (MD) is a Fellow in our Leadership Training Academy Class of 2026 and specializes in Complex Family Planning. She shared the following reflections on her work, advocacy, and what brings her joy.
What are your clinical or research interests?
Clinical: reproductive health care, reproductive justice in my daily practice, limiting personal bias, reducing cultural barriers to medicine. Research: reducing barriers to equitable abortion and contraception access.
What current policy issue motivates you to be an advocate?
Growing restrictions to both abortion and contraception access, criminalization of choice and autonomy over ones body, policies supporting hatred and discouraging community.
What local justice-centered organization do you wish we knew about?
Colorado Doula Project is an amazing justice center organization I have the honor to work with through our clinic. They provide so many support services for patients who need care no matter where they are from. They have provided rides, doula support, child care, financial support, meals, birth control and so much more. They are always willing to help a patient through their hardest moments with a smile on their face.
What is bringing you joy these days?
Spending time with my family, friends and pets always brings me joy. I’m also thrilled that fall is right around the corner and can’t wait for cozy fires and holiday time with my community.
Our Meet Our Advocates series showcases the talents and passion of one of our doctors and finds out, in their own words, what inspires them to be physician advocates. Learn more about the Leadership Training Academy.
