PRH Fellows Correct New HHS Site, Moms.gov
We invited LTA Class of 2026 Fellows to correct moms.gov and call out the mis- and disinformation.
On Mother’s Day, the Department of Health and Human Resources published moms.gov.
This is a website claiming to provide options for pregnant people and families, but instead promotes biased, inaccurate, anti-abortion information.
We invited LTA Class of 2026 Fellows Drs. Avanthi Jayaweera, Jocelyn Wu, and Christine Jackson to correct moms.gov and call out the mis- and disinformation.
“Pregnancy centers” are fake health clinics created by anti-abortion extremists to mislead and manipulate people.
They’re NOT health care providers, but they often try to mimic language from abortion clinics to make patients think they’re trustworthy, then lie to them about their options. What kind of government would send you to a place like this?
These freaks love to crop the head off pregnant people in pictures because they prioritize the developing fetus over pregnant people.
Pink and blue feet because they’re obsessed with the gender binary…
Not a coincidence that the person in the stock photo is white — when this Administration says they want to keep ‘moms’ healthy, they mean ‘white cis women.’
Trad wife fantasies apparently have no room for people who choose formula or can’t nurse.
Meat and fish are not a required part of a healthy pregnancy diet. They probably want you to think it is because the Trump Administration’s proposed 2027 budget cuts WIC benefits for fruit and vegetables. Not very “Make America Healthy Again” of them!
Look away from medicaid being gutted.
Creepy Trump Accounts create a two-tiered system for those with SSNs and those without. Call us old-fashioned, but we think every child deserves a head start.
From promoting Crisis Pregnancy Centers, or fake-health clinics, to not discussing mental health supports for pregnant people, to avoiding discussion of lifesaving vaccinations, the site is full of propaganda for the Trump Administration’s efforts to control who is able to access health care.
