Where do you call home?
Charleston, South Carolina, currently — although I was raised in Athens, Georgia.
What are your clinical or research interests?
Increasing access to evidence-based abortion and miscarriage care, women with HIV, racial disparities in reproductive health.
What current policy issue motivates you to be an advocate?
Primarily abortion restrictions.
What local justice-centered organization do you wish we knew about?
I often work with the Women’s Rights and Empowerment Network (WREN), which strives to advance the interests of women, girls, and gender-expansive people in South Carolina. In a very conservative state, the successes of this organization have given me reason for hope.
What is bringing you joy these days?
Spending time with my husband and son, particularly while exploring the unique outdoor landscapes of the South Carolina Lowcountry.
