Kylie Fowler (MD, MS) is a Fellow in our Leadership Training Academy Class of 2027 and specializes in Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology and Family Planning. Reflections on work, advocacy, and sources of joy are shared below.

What are your clinical or research interests?

Reproductive justice, access to health care—specifically contraception and abortion access,  improved pain management for gynecologic procedures, adolescent health education, medical education and abortion training.

What current policy issue motivates you to be an advocate?

Access to abortion care across the United States after Dobbs, persecution of the trans community, societal reliance on the carceral system, increasing and racist maternal mortality rates.

What local justice-centered organization do you wish we knew about?

Monarca Immigrant Rights Organization. They have trained over 50,000 Minnesotans to be neighborhood observers and protect people’s rights. They were integral to Minnesota’s response to the ICE Operation Metro Surge.

What is bringing you joy these days?

My three dogs, getting outside, studying fashion history.

Our Meet Our Advocates series showcases the talents and passion of one of our doctors and finds out, in their own words, what inspires them to be physician advocates. Learn more about the Leadership Training Academy.
