Laer Streeter (MD, MPH) is a Fellow in our Leadership Training Academy Class of 2027 and specializes in OB/GYN. Reflections on work, advocacy, and sources of joy are shared below.

What are your clinical or research interests?

Increasing diversity and inclusivity for transgender/gender expansive healthcare clinicians, OB/GYN-centered gender affirming care.

What current policy issue motivates you to be an advocate?

Federal government’s determination to decrease access to gender affirming care/discriminate and erase transgender folx in all spheres (legally, healthcare, sports, etc).

What is bringing you joy these days?

The outdoors (hiking, paddle boarding, biking), cheering on the Valkyries WNBA team, spending time with my wife and family.
