Emma Trawick

Emma Trawick (MD) is a Fellow in our Leadership Training Academy Class of 2026 and specializes in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. She shared the following reflections on her work, advocacy, and what brings her joy.

What are your clinical or research interests?

Public policy and reproductive health, maternal morbidity and mortality, hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, infectious disease prevention in pregnancy.

What current policy issue motivates you to be an advocate?

Maternal morbidity and mortality prevention.

What local justice-centered organization do you wish we knew about?

Carolina Abortion Fund, Sister Song.

What is bringing you joy these days?

Learning new sports, spending time outside, and reading good books!
