On June 24, 2019 Physicians for Reproductive Health Board Member, Dr. David Turok, will be presenting results from Utah efforts to expand family planning access at a Brookings Institution event in Washington, DC. Dr. Turok is one of an exciting group of panelists who will be addressing the topic of improving opportunity through access to family planning. His presentation will highlight the unique aspects of his team’s work in Utah and address the limited role of contraception in overcoming systemic barriers to educational, economic, and social advancement. The success in Utah expanding contraceptive access, with legislative support, is a rare advance for reproductive health care in a state with restrictive policies.
