Mikayla Dawson (she/her) is a communications leader passionate about using storytelling to drive social impact and answer the biggest questions about how to build a sustainable world. With a background that spans healthcare, social justice, and nonprofit work, she’s built a career on amplifying voices and engaging diverse audiences. Her experience includes developing social media strategies that amplify health equity and reproductive justice narratives, working with renowned brands like Takeda and Bristol Myers Squibb, and managing high-stakes campaigns that make people smarter, more empathetic, and more engaged with the world around them.
In her previous role at Real Chemistry, Mikayla led digital narratives that bring critical healthcare topics—like mental health and racial equity—to the forefront, helping brands create authentic connections with their audiences. Before this, she was a Digital Strategist at Physicians for Reproductive Health. She expanded our social media reach and equipped physician advocates with the tools to engage in digital advocacy. She’s also had the privilege of working on landmark initiatives like Whole Woman’s Health v. Jackson, where she led real-time social strategies to build community advocacy around abortion providers.
Mikayla lives in Fort Worth, where she watches Curb Your Enthusiasm with her English bulldog, Louie, and her partner, Torin.
