Partially raised in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Cote D’Ivoire, Omoy Lungange (she/her) grew up in the United States, and at an early age, she developed a deep desire to help individuals living in some of the most low-income and isolated corners of our communities thrive by providing them with opportunities where their needs are met.
Her hobbies are cooking, designing, traveling, and participating in fundraising events focused on strengthening human capacity and empowering women, girls, and the youth within the global community. Before joining Physicians for Reproductive Health (PRH) in 2021, Omoy was the executive and administrative assistant at two seasoned nonprofit organizations. She was the lead staff person responsible for providing administrative, logistics, and programmatic support to the entire staff.
Omoy has worked with Patients and Providers, Women and Girls, Immigrants, Refugees, Children, and Youth – and with each of these groups, she has been committed to being a part of organizations that provide programs related to health care, education, gender equality, and economic empowerment.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Ithaca College and a Master’s in International Affairs from the New School University.
