Vanessa (she/her) has spent the last eight years honing her advocacy skills in the birth and abortion space as a Doula, where she has supported hundreds of clients through nurturing comfort and honest, direct communication.
Endlessly curious and passionate about birth, parenthood, and reproductive justice, she constantly seeks new ways to support the communities she serves as needs and identities shift and evolve.
Originally from Miami, FL, Vanessa lives in Durham with her husband Tom, son, and her 3-year-old pup Skunk. She is fluent in Spanish and French and conversational in Haitian Creole. When she’s not working, you can find her in the kitchen, with her nose in a book, or taking the dog for a walk while listening to a podcast.
