I’m close to 30 years old. When I was going to college, my parents could not afford to keep me on their health care plan. I was able to go to a free clinic to get a free Pap test after I noticed I was bleeding abnormally. The clinic noticed that there were some abnormalities, and while I was completely freaking out internally (because I thought I had cancer), it was nice to know that as a broke college student I could go somewhere to get the help I needed. It was not cancer—only a cyst.
