When I was without health insurance for a few years, Planned Parenthood was where I received all my reproductive health care. I have severe endometriosis (a condition where the lining of the uterus grows outside of the uterus instead of inside) and need birth control regardless of my level of sexual activity. I was also under-employed in those early post-college years, and their sliding scale cost calculator really helped. Thanks in part to those years with Planned Parenthood, I have never had an unplanned pregnancy and my endometriosis was managed well enough that I went on to have two healthy children.
