Ever since I was a teenager, Planned Parenthood and similar clinics large and small have helped me access health care when I could not otherwise afford to. This includes full physical exams, STI/HIV testing, and contraceptives. I have had numerous health issues, such as HPV—a serious issue that can precede cancer concerns—that I would not have been able to treat otherwise. There are millions of people who would be in danger of poor health care or losing health care if not for the help of these kinds of organizations.
