Story No. 40: Provider from Massachusetts

I work at a college health center, at a historically women’s college, in a state that mandates health insurance. Many of the students who come through our doors are looking for access to reproductive health care. It is the first time that many of our students feel in charge of their bodies and have access to what they need. Often, people come in and immediately ask about birth control options. We know that those who have access to controlling their reproductive future feel safer in their relationships and in building their future and achieving their goals.

I feel so lucky to be able to say YES, we can help you access care and YES, it is free of charge. I don’t know what we would do if these services were not covered by our insurance.
