A family friend of ours and her husband had been wanting a child for a very long time. They already had one child, who was ten years old, and they had been trying to get pregnant with their next child for a very long time.

When they finally got pregnant and were about a couple months in, they found out that there was a high chance of complications with the baby. The parents did not want to get their hopes up and their family’s hopes up, so they decided an abortion would be best. It was nice that they were able to get what they needed because tremendous psychological damage could’ve occurred if they became too attached and the fetus ended up being stillborn or the pregnancy endangered the mother.
