My two daughters moved to New York City right after graduation in 2000. Needless to say, they “didn’t have a pot or a window” (they were making very little money) and had it not been for Planned Parenthood they would have received no medical care, no birth control, and no health screenings. It is unconscionable that Republicans want to defund Planned Parenthood! Planned Parenthood takes no federal monies to pay for abortions.

Another story, in my 20’s I went with a girlfriend who had a “back alley abortion.” If it wasn’t for me driving her to the emergency room afterwards, she would have bled to death… We were “nice” middle class, church going girls. Everyone needs access to safe healthcare.
