The summer after I studied abroad, I found myself running low on birth control pill packs. Because I was halfway across the country from my college’s student health center, I couldn’t get a refill from them (believe me, I tried!).

Luckily, I knew that I could count on Planned Parenthood to get me out of this predicament. I made an appointment at a local affiliate and had a great experience with a kind and organized provider there.

I left the office with several packs of pills, a paper bag stuffed with dozens of condoms, and three doses of emergency contraception. I am deeply grateful that Planned Parenthood helped me out during what could have been a really stressful, upsetting time.
