In my residency, I met ‘Sara’ at the clinic. She was a student at a Catholic college. She came for contraception after having had three abortions. I asked her why she had not used contraception before. She answered that it was against the teaching of the Catholic church. Sadly, I fear the rhetoric of many conservatives today will leave future Saras in the same situation.
