“Tanya” was a single mom who carried a lot of guilt for having had a child before being married. She was a devoted mother to her five-year-old, raising him without any help from his father or her family, while working two minimum wage jobs. She was barely making ends meet. She didn’t have time to date, let alone think about having another child.
Her son’s father dropped in for a visit out of the blue, and she became pregnant again. After she discovered she was pregnant, he would not answer her calls. She made it to our clinic quickly after discovering the pregnancy, and she had a simple, uncomplicated abortion. Her relief afterwards was powerful. Roe meant she could go on doing her best for her son.
