Where do you call home?
I was raised in Marionville, MO, but I also consider Kansas City, MO, to be home as I spent a lot of time there as a kid and then for college. The good people in north central Florida taught me how to be an ob/gyn and, presently, the people of Atlanta are teaching me how to be a family planner.
What are your clinical or research interests?
My fellowship project is a qualitative study evaluating the impacts of abortion restrictions on people with high-risk pregnancies living in Georgia, post-HB481. Specifically, my focus is on people living in reproductive care deserts.
What current policy issue motivates you to be an advocate?
Abstinence-only sex education in public schools, gestational age limits for abortion restrictions.
What local justice-centered organization do you wish we knew about?
ARC Southeast, SisterLove.
What is bringing you joy these days?
My dog, #52hikechallenge, microwave brownies in a mug, my Fulton County library card, swimming.
