Where do you call home?
I am originally from Minnesota, but I currently live in Salt Lake City, UT. I love living in the mountains. I am quickly making this my new home and am planning to stay here after fellowship!
What are your clinical or research interests?
My clinical interests include the management of complex pregnancies, ultrasound, substance use disorder in pregnancy, and comprehensive reproductive healthcare. My research interests focus on obstetric transportation in the Intermountain West as well as abortion stigma.
What do you wish other providers knew about reproductive health, rights, and justice?
Providing full-spectrum reproductive healthcare is essential to my ability to provide safe, patient-centered and evidence-based medical care in my role as a maternal fetal medicine physician.
What local justice-centered organization do you want to uplift?
The ASCENT Center for Reproductive Health at the University of Utah. The ASCENT Center is a multidisciplinary team that promotes comprehensive reproductive healthcare in the Mountain West through research, training, education, advocacy, and healthcare innovation.
What is bringing you joy?
The Harris/Walz campaign, the fall colors in the mountains in Utah, the upcoming ski season, trail runs, my dog Remi, providing abortion care, reality TV, and my newly strung tennis racket.
