Where do you call home?
Virginia
What are your clinical or research interests?
My clinical interests are in family planning and resident education. I hope to expose as many learners as possible to the importance of equitable access to abortion care.
What do you wish other providers knew about reproductive health, rights, and justice?
That reproductive health, rights, and justice are not just “women’s” issues, but issues for ALL of us and impact all of our patients no matter our specialty.
What local justice-centered organization do you want to uplift?
Birth Sisters of Charlottesville. They are a women of color community-based doula collective doing incredible birth work and advocacy within our community.
What is bringing you joy?
My kids taking their first piano lessons and learning the joy and comfort of music. They’ve inspired me to get back to playing after 15+ years!
Our Meet Our Advocates series showcases the talents and passion of one of our doctors and finds out, in their own words, what inspires them to be physician advocates. Danielle Johnson (DO) is a Fellow in our Leadership Training Academy Class of 2025 and specializes in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
